Is it appropriate to send a funny sympathy card?
Humor is one of the oldest and most powerful responses to grief. Sometimes the gift of a laugh can offer much more relief than another “I’m sorry for your loss” sentiment. If you’re feeling the urge to pick a funnier card, it might be just what your person needs. If you’re not confident in what will be most comforting to them, we have heartfelt cards that may be more widely appropriate. Grief is so unique that we find a card that works for everyone… works for no one.
What if it’s been a few weeks since someone died?
We believe it’s never too late to reach out to someone after a loss. This is actually a good time to reach out, since the initial support your friend or loved one received might be dwindling. Most of our Sympathy cards are still appropriate at this time. If it's been longer than a few weeks, our Time has Passed collection covers checking in after months and on the yearly anniversary.
Where do you ship?
Orders ship from Orange County, CA to anywhere in the United States. Please send us an email at info@deathdaycards.com or use the contact us form if you would like to make a purchase from outside the US.
How long until I receive my order?
Your order will ship from Orange County, CA. The USPS delivers throughout the United States in 2-5 business days. A tracking number will be provided to you once the order ships.
Expedited shipping is available for an additional fee. There isn't an additional charge for this, it's just the cost of the postage, period.
What if my order gets damaged?
We do our best to package orders to ensure they arrive safe and sound. If you've received an order that's been damaged in transit, please send us a photo of the damage within 7 days of delivery and we'll get a replacement on its way to you ASAP! Email us at info@deathdaycards.com to start that process.
Do you accept Returns?
Due to the delicate nature of our products, we aren't able to accept returns. If you change your mind, order cancellations are accepted within one hour of purchase. In case of damage during transit, we will happily send a replacement card out ASAP. Email us at info@deathdaycards.com to start that process.

Our cards are 5"x7" (A7) and printed on sturdy 100 lb, matte finish cardstock. Each card comes with a white, 100% Post-Consumer Waste envelope, and ships in an Eco-Friendly PLA (plant based material) sleeve. One or two cards will ship in a larger kraft envelope, three or more cards will ship in a flexible cardboard mailer.
