a new kind of sympathy card

You've stood in the sympathy card aisle. You've flipped through the pastel sea of "Sorry for your loss" and the bible verses and the flowers. Oh the flowers! You've put them all back and walked out empty-handed because none of them were right for your people.

We built Deathday Cards for you.

The sympathy card industry has been underserving us for decades. They've been giving us cards that gloss over the hard stuff. Cards that treat grief like it's one-size-fits-all. Cards that somehow make the recipient feel more sad instead of less alone. Cards designed to make the sender feel better, not the person receiving them.

We're fixing that.

Humor is one of the oldest and most powerful human responses to grief. We use it intentionally and with deep respect for the people giving and receiving our cards. We're not edgy for the sake of it, we genuinely believe that sometimes the most loving thing you can send someone is the laugh they didn't expect to have, but desperately needed.

We make cards for the loss that just happened and for the anniversary nobody else remembered. For the first holiday with an empty chair and the random Tuesday when grief shows up uninvited. Whether it's been two weeks or two years, it's never too late to reach out.

Our cards aren't for everyone or every situation.

But for the people who get it? They're everything.
